insurance payout issues

Really troublesome experience with getting a car accident claim settled. Handed in two quotes to get my car damages repaired, Santam's assessor reduced them without even speaking to the workshop and all comms have ceased after raising the issue with the claims department about five weeks ago. Not sure if this is the best customer experience that one can expect.
