insurance and the blindfolding

On Friday the 30th of September 2016 my grandpa had a incident with his television set at home , in short the TV was to be mounted and got damaged beyond repair. So I took it upon myself to assist my grandpa as he doesn’t still have time for all these things and all he wants is the insurance to pay out. So we called the insurance Friday evening and I spoke to a consultant whom I provided the policy details to as well as a few other things , he advised me that we needed a damage report as well as a new quotation which I got on Saturday morning and mailed it off. I got contacted by a consultant Meshack on Monday morning checking with the quote and we also discussed perhaps his supply could get it for a better price. Then came Tuesday and a whole new headache started with TV damage etc. is not coved by content insurance and it’s a different kind of insurance needed and all this BS. I've called 3 different insurances namely : Outsurance , Dial Direct and Virgin insurance and they all cover this under their content insurance not Santam that seems to want to be ripping people off and then also not wanting to pay out claims. I for 1 would never advise someone to Santam as they claim to cover 99%* of their claims but in hindsight they don’t really want to go the extra mile.
