Imposing a repairer and procurement of parts from the assesor's buddies

<p>I was rear ended by a Santam client on the 18 April 2016. Only yesterday the 27/06/2016 did i get my claim approved as a result of fighting. The quotations I submitted started from R49000 to R80 000 highest. Santam offered me a settlement of R19 705 and their assessor Shaun Loots negotiated and instructed one of the repaires that quoted me to repair my vehicle using second hand parts. To top it, arrogant-******** Shaun Loots insisteted that I accept the money and buy the "used good parts" he sourced otherwise they won't be liable should someone buy them.</p> <p> </p> <p>My problem is that this is not consistant with their third party claim policies-factors. According to policies Santam should settle my claim 100% and I chose which repairer to use, yet they went and negotiated a repair costs with just one panel beater and Retha Botha the claims manager insists that I can still use a repairer of my chosing. Chose your insurance wisely...</p>
