Iemas + Santam = bad service

Iemas and Santam = Bad service We have had issues and servicing problems with Iemas from the beginning, insuring house and cars with them.

About a year ago a young man jumped a stop street and bumped into one of the cars. Santam, who Iemas places their business with, gave us hell with the repairs. Santam was always trying to take shortcuts on the repairs, so that they can save money. It took them more than 30 days to have the car fixed by their *********** panelbeater.

It's now approximately a year later and even with admission of guilt from the guilty party, neither Santam, Iemas, or Santam's lawyers can give me feedback on when we can expect our excess back. Currently we are also paying higher premiums, because the guilty party has not refunded Santam.

Iemas, as the brokerage keeps washing their hands, not getting involved, yet every month they took their commission and admin fees. Santam keeps telling me the lawyer must still inform them what is happening. I've listened to the same answer for the last 6 months.

Iemas, if you do not know how service works, get out of the business.

Santam, stop being stingy when paying a claim. You are supposed to fix it as it was before. Start being tougher on your panelbeaters and lawyers. You are known by the company you keep.

In the meantime we wisened up and moved away from both Iemas as broker and Santam as insurance company.
