Hole in roof, need to wait 3-5 days. (Unacceptable)

I am sitting with a hole in my roof due to the bad storm, i was first explained that someone would fix my roof today still and that someone would come out as it was an emergency. I then called to follow up as I've been waiting for the contractor, only to be told that they will first assess which will take 3 days and then they will only come fix it after that. It is currently raining and they are letting me phone around without any proper assistance.

This is unacceptable how do you live with a hole in your roof and you have to wait 3-5 days, this is while we are having bad weather.
