***** - What they say on their website is NOT true

We have major damage at our property due to water pipe. We get leak detectors out to investigate and they confirm its a burst pipe. We get plumbers out to fix the pipe and all the work that goes with that. Now we submit the claim to Santam.. Wait rejected. WHY? Santam DOES NOT PAY FOR LEAK PIPES...only for burst pipes. So no matter what the building damage our insurance does not cover. BUT WAIT... their website confirms that they do pay up to R5000 for leak detection and necessary repair costs???? So thats what you get when you are insured with Santam. BE AWARE!!!
