I am writing with regards to the inconvenience caused by Santam and their appointed external service providers.
Firstly I would like to highlight the fact that the first assessor is aware that the availability of the rims from BMW was limited at the time of assessment as the repairers have paid a deposit to secure the rims and now may not be available any more.
Secondly my initial claim was lodged on the 20th of January 2023. The vehicle was towed to the repair shop by towing services provided by Santam. The repair shop was kind enough to understand that the vehicle cannot be driven as the rims and tires were damaged but due to the fact that I delayed them I am now liable for storage fees and I will provide an invoice for this from the repair shop where the vehicle was inspected and where the vehicle is still parked.THis should be paid as a claim as the inconvenience lies with the insurer.
Lastly the AOL was signed and submitted on the 27th of February 2023. To date no payment was made nor an apology from Santam.
The storage fees should now be assessed as a claim by the necessary parties involved in causing this inconvenience
I look forward to URGENT feedback in regarding the storage fees. I do not want to a reply stating the payment has be loaded as that is still more of a delay waiting for payment after being loaded.
I will however copy this email to Hello Peter as someone should be responsible for the inconvenience caused.
Best regards,
