Dissatisfaction with Santam insurance

Good day.

I would.like to share my dissatisfaction with Santam insurance.

I was involved in a car accident towards the end of November 2023 which has resulted in my left hand side doors being smashed.

On the 30 Nov 2023, I was requested to handin my vehicle to a fitment centre.

I was not updated with my vehicle nor checked if everything went I was told only in February when I decided to go and check for my vehicle from the fitment centre. That they are waiting for the right-hand safety belt replacement that I dont understand what was the relationship between the two. On the 20th February, I have contacted the person who was dealing with my case requesting his intervention without any assistance.

It is the 5th month that I have been renting a car while Santam and its fitment centre were playing hide and sick.

On friday last week I was given my vehicle however told that I must bring it back on the 24 March 2024 as they are going to take it for diagnostic tests at Ronnies Motors, when I stopped the car it couldn't start again , windows were wide opened, I immediately called the fitment centre where I was promised that they will send someone to boost up my battery.

Up until today I didn't get any assistance, I called Santam insurance to report the issue, I was told that someone from the fitment centre is going to assist me but to no avail it is the 5th day that my car is staying on the outside with windows wide opened.

I have humbly requested to be assisted as my trust with the fitment centre is broken, I even requested that the agent who was assisting me to share his contact number as I have lost hope from the Guy so that I can report if my car is not attended to, I dont believe that no one is bothered by this.

I couldn't receive any update, the fitment centre didn't take my car as promised from Friday last week I really don't understand the customer service of Santam, infact its late for me to understand that can my policy be terminated with immediate effect, I couldn't believe myself to go under such a strain.

Yesterday there was a thunderstorm, I was wet all over because Im now a pedestrian, never seen such a service, Im approaching a fifth month now without my car.

I see no reason to continue with this type of insurance.

I cant sleep now as I don't know how am I going to get to work
