Dishonest and looking for ways not to pay claims

I moved in September and insured my load with the Moving company. Upon moving the company broke my 55inch Samsung Curved UHD tv. The quotes obtained for replacing the tv (which I bought new at R22,000) was all just over R10,000. They have now returned with an offer of R6,000 because according to them my tv is not new because I have used it, and they got a "quote"which by the way was an ad on GUMTREE? where they can buy the TV second hand. HOW ridiculous. So if they brake into your house and ***** your stuff, Santam will not be replacing your items, but offering you second hand prices which they obtain from Gumtree. This is not in accordance with SAIA code of conduct. I will be taking this further, since when can an insurer replace you with items from Gumtree? Beware people, this is an insurer looking for ways not to pay the claims honestly

Thank you for your promt response and email. I now understand that goods in transit policy is not the same as household contents and are handled differently when indemnified. I would like to amend my statement, and thank you for taking the time to explain the difference and clarifying.
