Disappointing Premium Discrepancy for Identical Vehicle

We have been clients of Santam for more than 40 years and generally appreciate their service. We currently pay a monthly premium of R1,706.89 for a 15-year vehicle. Recently, we requested a quote from Santam for the same vehicle on a different profile, and the monthly premium came out to R730.71—a difference of R976.18. When we queried it, we received the response below: Thank you for contacting Santam. Kindly note that the quotation provided for ***xx cannot be compared to that of zzzzzzz, as they are two different individuals with distinct risk profiles. Please remember that a policy premium is calculated based on the specific details of the policyholder, including their risk factors, which directly influence the premium amount. Therefore, differences in premiums are to be expected. This does not make sense.
