Disappointed and Frustrated

Santam, honestly the most disappointing insurance company I have yet come across I have been in the unfortunate position where I had someone walked into my house in a estate and stole a few things,my iphone ps4 2xlap tops and 2xwatches while i quickly went to checkers which is 600m from my house. It was really unforseen circumstances because we stay in a secured estate. I reported the incident to our security and then went to the police station then lastly i reported to Santam. I was then contacted by my broker Debbie and she advised that i must re send qoutes and i must them communicate with her. Few days later an assessor came to my house and since that day its been a nightmare.I have to run after Santam to find out when should i expect the payment and Rochelle Nair kept saying she is waiting for the assessor. When i contacted the assessor and all the time he was confused and oh the assessor Gerhard made me sign Afrikaans writen form and i dont know Afrikaans. And then a payment of 11500 was made into Santam card and i was told its for the phone and other stuff assessor is still busy with the report. Firstly i was expecting 12209 minus 350 for the excess i dont understand how did i get 11500 for an IPhone7 but thats the least on my problems. Secondly i was not aware that the reason for not paying the claim for everything at once it was a way for Santam to delay my claim and eventually find a reason to not pay. Yesterday Debbie told me that Santam will not pay because i didnt lock locked and i will receive a letter.I am still shocked by this because theft is theft and i have been waiting for payment for weeks and now this.My husband talked me into joining this insuarance and i regret that it is the most expensive insurance for nothing. My premium is so high for nothing i thought i am secured. The staff is untrained when you call them they promise to get back to you and they never. I wish i read Hello Peter comments about Santam before falling into this trap. I am so frustrated

Its honestly a nightmare trying to get answers from santam and I strongly advise people to take additional legal action against santam policy holders I am even scared that if anything happens to my car if they will pay.
