DAMAGED CEILING AND WOODEN FLOORS
Today I`m sharing this bad experience I encountered while dealing with the claim I made on 15/2/2023. Because of the heavy Rain/Storm that we`ve been experiencing in Gauteng, the water came strong into my house damaging the ceiling & wooden floor in my house. Santam send an accessor who came & already had a very bad attitude & I couldn`t understand why. it's like the guy came with a mandate to just find anything that will cause the claim to be rejected. After almost a week of waiting for Santam to provide an update/report from the accessor, I then decided to make a call to find out what was the delay. Because of the accessor`s attitude & no one was calling me back for an update I suspected that something might be fishy. The lady I spoke to told me that it was REJECTED, she was reading for me from the accessor report but on all the reasons for rejections from the report, nothing made sense to me. As I write, the report is still not with me, no one sent it to me, but I was promised that they would send it to me to read it. The lady told me straight that it was rejected & she even went & confirmed it with her manager. I`m very disappointed, I feel like Santam sent assessors with the knowledge already that they will reject the claim. I have photos that I took on the night of the events of where the water was coming from, but because the accessor had a bad attitude I couldn't even show him. This could have helped him, as most of what is written on the report is not correct.
