Crazy SA inflation rate of 2.9%

So much for the SA annual inflation rate of an alleged 2.9%. I wish I could talk to the Governor of the Reserve Bank and/or Stats SA about the "Mathematics" they apply when calculating this rate. We are in a new year, and everything is more expensive, but not by 2.9%! My medical aid (Profmed) increased the premium on my plan by just under 10%. Santam took the cake though, a whopping 23.5% premium increase! Then they wonder why I cancelled my policy! Even called me back to enquire whether I would reconsider if they reduced my premium. I politely declined. I does not stop here. Food is more expensive every time I walk into a supermarket.
