CONSUMERS BEWARE!! BAD ETHICS!!

I've had previously been well treated, but I have had the most horrific experience with Santam and felt that I needed to warn other customers. I took out insurance on my car, and insured it slightly above market value since there were extras on the car and the car had low milage, which the agent assured me I could do. All was good and well until it came to time to claim. All of a sudden I find out they AUTOMATICALLY readjusted the insured value to market value WITHOUT MY CONSENT, and now refuse to pay out the amount that I specified and paid premiums for. They give me no option of appeal, their attitude is simply take it and be grateful, no internal appeal process, nothing. When I asked them for the recordings so that I can prove I specifically asked for higher insurance, they take WEEKS TO RESPOND. Now I have to go waste my time sitting in small claims court to get them to pay me what they owe me! The whole episode just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
