Claim Rejected

On the 27th of March my laptop was ****** out of the boot of a vehicle in Sodwana Bay. The vehicle was parked in a gated lot and was locked and armed.<br> <br> I followed the correct protocol (called the police, opened a case etc) and contacted the broker as soon as possible to lodge the claim. <br> <br> The commercial policy claim was rejected today as there was no physical damage to the vehicle. The officer at the police station inspected the car and concluded a wire must have been used.<br> <br> I find this to be an 'easy-out' for Santam as I have heard this has happened to many people insured with them. There are many ways to break into a vehicle. <br> <br> I would like to my claim to be reassessed and have submitted a formal complaint to Santam and the Brokers as per the Short term insurance OMBUDSMAN procedure steps.<br> <br> Please could this be escalated as soon as possible.
