Check your insurance policy

We all know that Santam is the worst insurance company in SA but most people don't know that the insurance company that they have trusted for many years has sold their policy to Santam. If your policy number has changed or your policy is being adminstered by Brolink, your insurance company sold your policy to Santam. They will ever admit it. Google your insureance company and Brolink. Phone your insurance company and ask them to send you a copy your polic doc. It will be sent from Brolink, it will have a new policy number and very different conditions. Brolink is 100% owned by Santam. Why would your insurance company outsource to their competition? Try and find ONE insurance company is SA who is not owned by Santam. It took me a very long time to find one because all the companies we know and trust have sold their policies to Santam. .

Dear Mrs Anderson

The Santam e Content

Group acquired the insurance administration provider Brolink in 2014. Established in 1994, Brolink performs insurance administration of personal lines and commercial lines portfolios to the short-term insurance industry, not only for Santam, but for a number of the leading insurers in South Africa (Hollard, Old Mutual Insure and Absa Insurance Company (AIC), to name but a few).

Brolink is positioned independently of the Santam Group’s insurance company activities as a strategic investment. Santam recognises the importance for the Brolink business to retain its independence and as such, Santam has a shareholding relationship through representation on the Brolink board.

Whilst Brolink was acquired by Santam, all insurer contracts are still in place which is testament to the independence that Brolink as a company demonstrates reputably within the industry.

Outsourcing, of which Brolink is a major player in South Africa, is in essence an additional distribution channel for insurers to engage and service clients.

We trust the above to be in order.

Thank you and kind regards

Why didn't AIC or Santam advise me that my insurance policy was sold to Santam or being managed by Brolink ***ned by Sanlam)? If I had been advised, I would have cancelled my policy immediately. Everyone in SA knows that Santam is the worst insurance company in SA. Now that Santam have *****ed up Old Mutual, AIC, M&F, Hollard and almost every other insurance company, Santam are advertising again under every umbrella. I pray that the youth have heard what their parents and grandparents have experienced and said about Santam.
