Bad Service

My washing machine stopped working and I lodged a claim (#***) with Santam. They sent a service provider to check what was wrong with it.

He suspected carbon brushes only to find they are still okay. He then told me that he doesn't know what is wrong with the washing machine and he will call someone to find out what could be wrong with it and he will give a quote to fix it.

A few days later later my claim is closed because the it is wear and tear. What is worn out in a washing machine motor? because the only thing that can be worn out is the Carbon Brushes and those brushes were okay.

This is mechanical failure and my policy is supposed to cover mechanical failure.

How good is insurance if it is not there when you need them with a legit claim? Not happy at all.
