atrocious service

I originally called the help line on Saturday 26 November 2016 as I had found my bathroom to be flooded.
I called the helpline only to be advised that they do not assist with anything other than geyser replacements over weekend and that this will have to waiting until the Monday or I could have it fixed myself and claim.

Monday 28th November we called and logged the claim.

Since then I did not hear from Santam again.

The Week before Xmas I received a call while at work from a person who needed to inspect the damages, and so he did and took pictures.
A week or two thereafter another person called to ask if we at home as they needed to send someone out to inspect the damages and take pictures.
I advised them that someone had already been there a week earlier and pictures has been taken in order to complete the quotation.
I advised them to go and check their records , they called moments later advising that this was correct and that they will process the request now.
By this time I was frustrated as it was nearing Xmas and over weeks since the original phone call of a leaking cistern and flooded bathroom.

17th JAN wrong info in the below ;-
The plumber arrived at my property unannounced/ without prior notification.
My domestic allowed the plumber into our property without our blessing or notification. (as she was aware of the cistern issue we experiencing)
My son called from our land line advising me of the plumber being on our property requesting R500 before commencing with the job.
I advised the plumber that I was note aware that he would be arriving on the day and therefore did not leave any cash at home.
I advised him to leave and that I would call him after speaking to my broker and informing him enhuys) of my distress and unhappiness in the manner this matter has been dealt with.

I do not want the money to be paid to me as the quotation from Plumblink suggest that I will not be covered in full by Santam.
The cistern is sold as a set and not individually UNLESS you buy it from the "local one man-band shop"

Two months without the use of the main bathroom and having visitors/strangers/family/friends use my on-suite. (very embarrassing to me),
Not to mention the wastage of water in a time when the province has on a level three water restriction

Now you looking at just brushing me off (that is how I feel) with a payment WHEN I have been a loyal paying client with SANTAM for 15 years.
I want my cistern fixed and Santam to provide me with the service which I am paying for.
OR I will have this cistern replace by a competent service provider and supply Santam with the invoice to reimbursed.

I am a long standing client with Santam and I have never expected such unprofessional service from such a huge company.
I am utterly disgusted that I have to deal with a corporate organisation such as Santam and their service provider in receiving such mediocre service..

This whole exercise has been more embarrassing to me than you as so many people visited and have been inquisitive BUT what an advert to SANTAM and my broker whom I have been supporting with business.
