A Good read, might save you Time and Money. Better off with a other brand.

Its been some time since I had the most horrible experience with Santam..I decide to post this review a few months later to ensure that its not driven or motivated by emotion. This should hopefully encourage current and future clients to review their policy properly and get written conformation of any issues or uncer*****ies they may have.

My vehicle happen to experience some damage back in April of this year and was taken in and to cut a long story short the vehicle was written off. The settle that was offered amounted to R16k less than what the vehicle was insured. Do bear in mind that I was paying a premium of the full sum insured.

What I learned from dealing with Santam is that they seem to think that they are doing their customers, the very people who keep them in business a favour when it comes to insurance. Their rating on this site reflects that very sentiment. They tend to seek reasons not to pay and they also share confidential emails with 3rd party contractors, who then have the audacity to contact your directly.

Santam goes above and beyond looking for fault not to settle claims and make an already stressful situation more stressful. They seek the smallest fault and have no regard for their client, although you jump threw every hoop they give you.

What added the cherry on top for me was the fact that they confirmed in writing that the premium for the vehicle will not be taken, as the vehicle has been deemed written off, transferred to Santam and settled. This was not the case, the premium was still deducted, which then promoted me taking all my business elsewhere and taking family and friends with me.

When dealing with Santam watch out for a contractor named: Kobus Nel of Cape Auto Accessors, He seems to work very close to a Santam employee named Andre Kotze: Motor Assessing Manger Coastal Region (the one who leaks private and confidential information). They protect each other and lie together.

Then there's Nini Mphosi who is not only lazy but evasive as shes aware that all phone calls are record. She admits to not wanting to answer questions as calls are recorded.

Just a few things to look out for when doing business with this brand. Take heed to their rating as its a true reflection.

Regards a previous customer.
