4 MONTHS OF GOING NOWHERE SLOWLY

Santams client rear ended my car almost 4 months ago and I am still waiting for them to finalise my claim. Initially they denied liability flat out, however after speaking to their client who was honest and admitted liability via a voice note to me, they had no choice but to consider my claim. After failing at their attempt to deny liability they have now moved on to their next trick of trying to reduce their liability by claiming that they caused minimal damage and the 3rd party caused more damage.

I prefer not going down the legal route, but I am frustrated with their tricks and I've waited far too long and have lost much more in 4 months than the damage quotation for the car. My attorneys have advised me that the matter is straightforward and I should therefore not waste more time in instituting formal proceedings and issue a summons to recover all costs, including but not limited to, late payment, legal fees, loss of income etc.

I have been patient enough with Santam and they have bought me to a point of really taking the matter to the next level by involving the courts, the ombudsman and blowing it up on social media.
