3rd party damaged poorly claimed for damages that I did not cause.

I know I was cause of the accident but Santam refuse to hear my side of the story.When I offered to fix the damages of the client, their client refused my offer said will claim from their insurance.When i offered to pay for access fee their client again refused my offer as i was retrenched but i had funds that time of the accident hence i offered to fix the car.The client then claimed from their insurance and the damage I have caused are no way near the R25 000 they are claiming from me.i only scratched a small portion of the bumper.Why before they paid their client they did not offer me an opportunity to fix it 1st.their client went to expensive panel beating company now I must occur the cost that initially I offered to pay but when I do not have funds anymore and now claiming damages from me.I have picture of the damage I have caused .i want to send it to you so that you tell me if that damage is it worth 25 000 your Santam is seeking from me.
