3 months and nothing is done

After almost 3 months of my claim being lodged, I'm still waiting on an update on my claim. Santam is truly disgraceful, they appointed an assessor to the matter and he has refused to allow me to get cash in lieu of damage. The vehicle is being sold and the new owner doesn't want the vehicle to be repaired and is happy to take the vehicle as is. Therefore I don't see the difference between Santam paying me out in cash when they are happy to pay a panel beater. Either way it's gonna cost them the same amount of money. The vehicle despite its damage is still roadworthy and usable. I have engaged an attorney who has read through the fineprint of my policy schedule and advised that I have every right to claim a cash settlement.
