Worst service, with no one coming back to you to address the problem
During September 2020 I was contacted by Antionelle Swarz with regards to Sanlam Gap Cover. At that time I was on Stratum Gap Cover but she advised me that because at the time I had Fedhealth Medical Aid it would be cheaper to join Sanlam Gap Cover. I started working at Dept of Health and decided to move my medical aid to GEMS and I did inform Sanlam that I moved to GEMS but the Gap Cover must stay in place. I have a copy of my application form send to wellworx stating myself, my spouse and my child to be covered by the GAP cover. Now I have a claim for my son and Sanlam Gap inform me now that I am on the Sanlam Gap Individual Private cover. I can send my application form to you, where both their details are completed with their date of births. She also provide me with Sanlam Comprehensive Gap Coverleaflit stating that for 2019 the individual premium for individuals and families younger than 60 years will be R298. I decided to move to Sanlam Gap Cover as it was cheaper than Stratum at that time. Now that I for the first time submit a claim I am informed I am on the inividual private and if you read the leaflet provided to me it also states 2019 Sanlam Ga..._Individuals.pdf. So I am very upset about this situation. Why would I decide to move from Stratum where all my dependants were covered to a Gap Cover where only I am covered.
I insist on Sanlam Gap Cover either paying the claim for my son for the procedure of the 9th of October 2020 or then refund my premiums as this was a *****alent presentation of the cover I am receiving. Could you please revert back to me urgently as the aneathetist, dr Schoeman, wants to instate legal actions against me. I have additional documents like the brochure and the copy of my Stratum policy where my dependants were also part of the gap cover policy.
Now they have changed the policy to a family policy but this does not help me with the current problem of the procedure gap cover for my son - they do not want to pay.
This is the first time I claim, I suggest they either give my premiums back for the last 2 years or pay my son's procedure from the gap cover as he should have been a part of the gap cover from the start- I would have never left Stratum if this was the case
