Worst service ever! ***********

In 2010 i took out a policy with assupol. I eventualy realized last week that instead of my daughter's name and surname another name and surname appeared on the policy as my daughter, the only similarity is the date of birth. I sent emails requesting a refund. They rep**** that even though the details were wrong i would be able to claim for my daughter. So, my question is simply HOW? The details would not be the same as on the policy... I would never be able to claim for that unknown person because i would never have an id and/or death certificate... I paid for 13 years for something i would never be able to use. I dont want to speak to an agent on a phone again as they seem to not understand even english and i want written proof on email of their promises. I want a refund!!!

Good day Susan, I refer to my direct e-mail to you, to explain why the error has occurred and how it was corrected. I confirm again - when the policy was app**** for in 2010, you provided us with the names and surname and date of birth of your daughter. Funeral cover was provided. At some stage during the lifetime of the policy, another client insured their child, having the same date of birth, on their own policy. An unfortunate system error occurred and changed your daughter's name and surname to that of the other child, insured on another policy. Your daughter's funeral cover was not affected at all and you did not pay an additional premium for this other child. We have since obtained your daughter's full ID number and has corrected our records, to prevent any future error from occurring. If a claim for your daughter would have been submitted, Assupol would still have considered it. For this reason, no premiums can be refunded. Regards, Assupol Complaints Manager

I understand your concern. To claim for the unknown person would not be possible, but this still did not affect the cover you continuously held for your daughter.
