Will

I am so concerned about the treatment that Sanlam gave to my brothers children. My brother had a will with them. They refuse to read it infront of them. They said they no longer read the will. Is that true?...

My brother passed away on 6 December 2021 and soon after we were in contact with Sanlam. We are aware that my brother had policies with Sanlam. My brother has 4 children, 2 before marriage and 2 in marriage although he subsequently got divorced years back.

Frank Von Hollstein who is one of your staff members who apparently is our brother's financial advisor promised us as a family that the Will would be read on 08 December 2021 at Simon's Town. To our surprise on 18 February 2022, he tells us that Sanlam does not read WILLS anymore contrary to what said in December. He also claims that the only children in the WILL are those of his previous marriage not the ones before marriage and he has been in contact with my brother's late wife with regards to that. We don't believe that story at All as we know that my brother considered all his children to be equal. Why would he leave the other 2 kids that he was supporting at his time death.

As Metu family we demand transparency to our brother's Will
to safeguard his children's interests that we believe FRANK is violating right now. To verify that the WILL does not include these other Kids, we demand to see it as the Metu family and his excluded children.

Should we not get proper feedback which is reading of this WILL, we are prepared to take this further to any platform and relevant institutions that care to listen to us.
