Unsatisfactory service from Assupol
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received. I submitted a funeral claim 1st week of December (Claim *** ) and, despite multiple emails, I have received no assistance. This has caused significant distress and delay. Please contact me with a full update and clear next steps or I will submit a formal complaint and escalate to the ombudsman/regulator.

20 Jan 2026, 09:47We submitted the funeral claim in the first week of December and provided every document requested. Despite escalating the matter via HelloPeter, we have now been given different forms that request the same information already supp****. We have also been told that the death certificate must be certified at a police station even though it was certified by the Department of Home Affairs.
This back-and-forth is causing unnecessary stress for my elderly mother, who is on a pension and cannot be expected to undertake additional, avoidable tasks. Your handling of this claim has been extremely disappointing.
Please do the following immediately:
1. Accept the death certificate certified by the Department of Home Affairs and proceed with the claim without requiring police certification.
2. Stop requesting duplicate documentation. If any documents are genuinely outstanding, provide a single, clear list of exactly what is required and the legal/administrative reason for each item.
3. Escalate this matter to a manager and provide the name and contact details of the person handling the escalation.
4. Provide a final decision and/or confirm settlement by eon today email.
