Unpaid funeral insurance claim

Submitted a claim which i took on the 7th nov 2017 for my aunt and she passed on the 6th nov 2018 and i received a participation certificate which states the waiting period is from the 6th Nov 2017 and ends 31 oct 2018....they refused to pay....they claim they started depiting on 1 dec 2017 thats the reason for non payment yet there's a certificate stated waiting period ends 31 oct 2018
