Unfair Credit Rating
Between October and December 2021 send me an email advising me to check my credit score or rating as they usually do and which I always appreciate. It showed my credit score having dropped due to some negative conduct of my accounts by myself, which I acknowledged as having been due to my ill-informed decisions. I asked Sanlam if I could take a loan of up to R300000 in order for me to consolidate all of my debts and remain with only one manageable debt. Since they could not offer me a loan they reffered me to a consultant who would advise me on how to consolidate my current loans. I found out that the consultant was from DebtBusters and I explained to her that I was not interested in debt counseling which I realized she was leading me to. I never wanted anything to do with debt consolidation as I have been there before and so I didn't want them to put me through that, but I wanted a loan to consolidate my debts. If calls are recorded for security purposes as they usually say they are more than welcome to resort to our previous conversations, Sanlam and DebtBusters. I totally disagree with what I found out when I went to Capitec Bank to apply for financial assistance in December. My name has been submitted to the credit bereaus as having inquired about debt counseling in the past five months. I demand that my name be cleared or I will take it up with the Financial Services Board, National Credit Regulator, Ombudsman or any legal institution that can help me.
