SUCH DISSAPOINTING TREATMENT FROM SANLAM - FEELING ****MED
My family and I have been with Sanlam for more than 10 years and we have always paid our premiums on time. Last year, Sanlam started debiting more money than we agreed on claiming that we were in arrears and the amount has changed a few times since then. The amount keeps on being increased every now and then... when we call and go to the Sanlam offices asking for proof or statements showing that we are in arrears, no one is willing to assist. Apparently the Sanlam Head Office in Cape Town is the one that can assist yet we are still waiting to be 'helped'.
We also tried getting the statements online but the Sanlam website gives us the policy schedule instead of the actual statements. When requesting the statements, we get an email telling us to call their office, which has proved futile.
We are starting to feel ****med. It is quite disappointing to get such treatment from a big company like Sanlam that has been around for so long.

I proceeded to ask Colleen about the terms and conditions of my policy and she stated that according to the terms and conditions of my policy, I am supposed to stop making monthly premium payments upon my retirement and Sanlam would take over the payments. When I indicated to Colleen that I have been retired for sometime now, she said that the terms and conditions of my policy will not be implemented and I will have to wait for all the people covered in my policy to die first before that happens ( please note that most of the people covered in my policy are my children).
While I appreciate that the arrears issue on my policy has been resolved, I would also like to see the terms and conditions of my policy being implemented with immediate effect. I sent Colleen an email stating this and I have not heard from her since the last email I received from her more than a week ago.
