Still not happy with Sanlam!!!
This is an update to an existing complaint lodged with Hello Peter. There was assistance provided by Sanlam regarding my grievance, however, it is not entirely resolved.
18/07 - Maxie Van Wyk from Sanlam responded to my case and informed me that she would point on this matter. Ms Van Wyk told me that the next step would be to send the details of my claim to their internal doctors/department. A day after she called again to inform me that doctors approved the claim and she will send the claim to the evaluation department.
23/07 - Maxie sent me an email to update me, my claim had been evaluated and approved for next steps from that process. She told me that the department or next step would be approval/signature from Exco and the Finance department.
26/07 - I received no further feedback, so I called Maxie to find out if there'd been any progress. Maxie said my claim was still with Exco and, she would let me know if there's any further feedback from them.
COMPLAINT:
This case dates back to 13/06. The process seems to be over-extended and exceeds Sanlam's policy of 10 working days turnaround. It's been over a month and it still hasn't been concluded. No actual timelines have been provided to me, from Exco to Finance, I have had to call to follow-up on the current situation. Maxie has been gracious enough to take my calls and do her best, in her capacity to provide feedback but I am aware that it is out of her hands. I am still not happy with Sanlam!
