STAY AWAY FROM SANLAM INDIE

I took out a death income protection plan with Sanlam Indie about two years ago. I have never received any communication from them since then. I have my minor daughter as a beneficiary of the plan. My financial circumstances changed. I tried making amendments last year via their useless chatbot when my financial situation changed and to add my new baby. The BOT seemed more confused than I was. No amendments were made. Tried again today, only for the bot to tell me that I can have minors as beneficiaries on my profile. The whole point of taking the cover was to ensure that my children are taken care of in my absence. I am now worried because the cover comes with a life insurance option that didn’t indicate any exclusions, same as I was not informed of the minors' T&Cs. I called Sanlam Indie again only to be told to go back to the BOT or email. I just donated my money because I fear that if I continue with this cover my children will be left in the cold in the case of death. Imagine when a policyholder can’t receive assistance, how will my beneficiaries receive what is due to them? I am too disappointed to even put it in words, but I wouldn’t recommend Sanlam to anyone. I was about to take an RA to supplement my pension fund but they do not have a good rep. My experience with them has been very bad.
