Scary, false SMS's sent to clients

I received a SMS today which told me that my policies had lapsed. I was directed to respond by sending an SMS back. I did as instructed and received a weird SMS back. It stated that they have seen that I have responded to their tactic and that someone will contact me soon. I am 100% certain that my payments are up to date via debit order. I have never been backward for a single payment since I got the policies over 8 years ago. I am now scared and insecure because I always felt safe with the cover that I had. Now I doubt whether the policies are still in effect. The worst part is that they think this is just a joke and responded lightheartedly to my SMS. It is impossible to get hold of anyone there and there is no contact or communication with any staff at 4Life offices. What is happening - do they still exist? Have they closed down? If someone receives this email, kindly contact me urgently as there are hundreds of people who are panicking now.
