Lets start with a back story, so my father has passed almost a year ago, to this day we can not get any closure on his passing from the detective dealing with the case or sanlam always giving us the same story that the detective says to hold payment, my father passed on and after a post mortem was done did we find out that he was poisoned, we went through hell to put him to rest as he passed just before christmas, we have to have his body moved to the local mortuary and had to wait till january for his body to be released in order for us to put him to rest, we had him cremated and still have his remains with us, we would like to take his ashes and let it out in the sea, but we are still waiting on sanlam to pay out the policy, we have given them already 9 months and still all we get is the detective says to hold payment, the detective told us that blood work can take up to 10 years, are we supposed to wait 10 years for him to finish a investigation, we have never got a call from the officer to tell us has he made any progress nothing, sanlam had they own doctors come out and do all their tests, I dont see why sanlam is holding a payment when they have all the documents and everything is in order for them to pay, you just going on the officer stating to hold payment, he has so many cases on his hands, if my father was a extremely rich man or if we came from a rich family, my fathers case would be 1st priority that is the harsh reality of life and the place we live in, we are reliving each day of his death as we cant make any plans to get his ashes to rest, sanlam needs to look into the matter and resolve it as we cant not be waiting on a officer to make a decision for your claim process, he didnt make any payments to sanlam each month to have the policy in tact.
