Sanlam...Administrative nightmare for a simple request.

So I have a retirement annuity to which I contribute monthly too. On 22 September 2021 I call Sanlam to increase my monthly premium on my retirement annuity.

I though this was a simple request. But was I wrong. This is how this played out: *After my telephonic conversation requesting that my monthly premium be increased effective from 1 October, I was told I need to fill in a "Declaration by client for a service quotation form" *The form was emailed to on the same day and I filled in the form and emailed this back on the same day.

*After waiting a week I emailed to enquire about status. Just got the automated response and then this response: "Thank you for recently contacting us about the following matter: We are attending to it and the estimated date for completion is 2021-10-11. Please quote the above-mentioned reference number should you have any enquiries."

*On the 7 October I received 11 page document which I had to complete and send back to Sanlam. I emailed this 11 pages document very angrily thinking how ridiculous this is that a request to increase my monthly contribution is such a complicated matter,

*So once again waited another week and email Sanlam on the 18 October to enquire about status and got this response: "Good day Thank you for recently contacting us about the following matter: We are attending to it and the estimated date for completion is 2021-10-27. Please quote the above-mentioned reference number should you have any enquiries. We assure you of our best service at all times. Regards Life and Savings: Business Shared Services: Client Care Centre"

* Today the 27 October I call Sanlam customer care to voice my disgust. Very helpful agent said she would escalate my concerns. An hour later I get call from a lady from Sanlam head office who tells that she has been instructed to assist and point out that there was missing information on the 11 page document i sent. My first response was why didn't some contact me after I sent this on 11 October. The response was almost like i just work here and try to do my job. I then preceded to ask what will help in expediting my simple request. I had to correct forms and sent this back. And my next question so when will request be actioned. Cant say will be sent to next department and no sure how long this will.

I indicate my frustration to lady. Thank her for time and said I will now terminate my investment contribution with Sanlam.

Sanlam have you lost the plot.. I simply trying to secure and grow my retirement savings and this is what you put me through. Shame on you.
