Sanlam will kill you before they pay, please read
Good day
Subject has reference ***x8 In March 2021 I suffered 7 heart attacks , I reside in Port Elizabeth and unfortunately only have a state hospital Livingston hospital at my disposal. After 7 days in hospital I was referred to Provincial hospital Cardiac Clinic. After many delays I was adventully admitted for angeogram, where at the time I was 43 years old, and Doctor felt age was on my side and was hopeful for Stent only, only to discover I had a heart decease and would require bypass surgery. Inbetween you face mental challenges and fell into bad bad bad depressive state, trying to cope and manage and another year goes by, by now I already think I'm dying and plan any trip to anywhere, to factor in a route where I know there are emergency rooms, my everyday was consumed by depression and anxiety. September 2023 I received a call to come to the hospital, they immediately booked me in for surgery the next day. Fast forward it's been a year and half I have further complications which does not allow me to lead a normal life. I sent Sanlam a claim for physical impairment/ disability...... Well I think everyone will know HERE is where the real stresses started, Sanlam don't seem to grasp the magnitude of effects when they ask a state patient to get a whole list of documents from my current treating Doctors, we don't have access to our files they kept under lock and key. These Doctors don't entertain alot of questions, they simply change your meds and you only get to see them in 6 months time, I have been there and was chased, stating if I had a emergency I must go to Livingston. I have further issues my left side and right side of body has a 50 difference in BP from my left side to my right side. I continue to pay our policies even though I'm unable to work, Sanlam don't care a damn about there clients. Sanlam will drag it out until you either die or simply commit suicide........... If they drag it out they hope you default on your monthly premiums. I write this review with a heavy heart and hope that should something happen to me this is evidence enough to take it to the highest court in the land to expose wat South Africans are being exposed to.
