SANLAM - what a shambolic organisation
I am in the process of sorting out my provident fund for forthcoming retirement. There have been complications that have caused issues to arise. The Provident Fund is with the giant, Sanlam. Well, they maybe a giant is size and asset value, but they are complete diminutives when it comes to service. What a pathetic organisation, with staff that simply don’t give a damn, and who all think they are superior to their customers. I cannot believe that an organisation of their size is so poor. When I finally move my funds from the Provident Fund to a Pension Fund, they will not get a sniff of the forward business. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!!

31 Jan 2023, 14:42As I said to you in my last response, "A way to go", and nothing has changed. You Sanlam people all believe that I am now sorted, well I am not.
In order to take care of your "demand" that my divorce order has to go through South African courts, because you don't accept a divorce order from eSwatini, a country of which both my ex wife & I are citizens of, I must now spend between R35 000 & R45 000 on legal fees in order to comply with your silly rules.
Why is it that Momentum Life are paying me out for a policy that I've had with them for 20 years'. I asked them why they are paying it out, and they stated "We have to because it's a court order".
So, if you are so insistent that the court order has to be "South Africanised", then my belief is that the onus is on Sanlam, or Sanlam Glacier to complete the process, at their cost, in order for us to move on. Why should I accrue in the region of 40k simply to comply with a whim that Sanlam and their arrogant employees believe in.
Sanlam/Glacier, you have huge legal departments' - deal with this change at your cost, or sort out my Provident/Pension Fund within reason.
You never warned any of your policy holders in eSwatini that if they decide to get divorced they must do so in South Africa, otherwise the policy will not be split according to the Divorce Order.
And Sanlam/Glacier, take this issue to the top, as I am tired of dealing with people who can't make decisions!!!

07 Dec 2023, 12:08So, at the cost of R68 000,00 I finally "comp****" with what Sanlam and their heartless "Divorce Department" demanded. They are too big an organisation to have any sympathy, empathy or any humane or human considerations in any of their client dealings. I was treated like a number, however I will devote the rest of my life to ensuring that all individual's that I ever come across receive my full analysis of Sanlam and the people who work for the organisation. And it's not pretty!
Goodbye & thank you for nothing, Sanlam!!
