Sanlam Umbrella fund -Why the delay?

I have submitted a death claim .My daughter died in December 2020.It is now 6 months later and the only info I can get from Sanlam is that under the Pension Fund Act ,they have 12 months to settle the claim.The value of the claim is a secret .Every month I am told that the paperwork is with the Board of Trustees.The beneficiaries will be paid according to Section 37C of the Pension Fund Act.,till the Board only meet once a month and no-one can give me any other info.
