Sanlam to pay back my investment

I have an investment policy with sanlam, which I have open it last year. I was told that I can withdraw or surrender my investment whenever I need the money. Last week I called Sanlam offices to findout how much will I qualify if I can surrender my investment as I needed the money. They confirm the amount to me and they said I must complete the form so that my application can be process. Yesterday 2020-09-28 I completed the form with all documents that were required. Today 2020-09-29 afternoon I received a call from Sanlam informing me that I cannot be able to withdraw or surrender the investment policy, I can only withdraw in 5 years time according to the type of my policy. I further explain that I don't want to withdraw I want to surrender the policy because I really need the money and I cannot continue paying the policy. They said they can only stop the Instalment payment but they won't be able to give me the money they can relize the money in five years time. I was shocked because it was the first time I hear about it. I real need help, I really need that money and I don't understand it because it is my money. So disappointed...
