SANLAM SKY - DEBIT ORDER ABUSE

I have had a Dreaded Disease Policy with Channel Life (now SANLAM Sky) for almost 20 years. My premium is currently just over R1,000 per month and I have never been in arrears.

During the past 3 years they have made double deductions on 4 occasions. It would take numerous emails to get a response, and when, at long last, I did get a response, I was told that it is an electronic system which processes double deductions when the client is in arrears. I objected to this insisting that all payments are up to date. I drew up a schedule indicating dates of successful debit orders over a period of the last 10 months and emailed it through, just to again be told that it is an electronic system which automatically creates double deductions when the client is in arrears.

I thus requested proof that I am in arrears, after which they emailed me a schedule indicating that I have a substantial CREDIT! This was two weeks ago. SANLAM Sky and I agreed that no further debit orders will be processed until the credit is at zero.

Well, my bank statement reflects that ANOTHER DOUBLE DEBIT ORDER was processed on 30 May 2025!!! ***luffy?!

I sent an email early on Friday morning... Written in bold red text... And I'm still waiting for a response.
