Sanlam Reality *****S

One of the Sanlam Reality telemarketers called me on 29 Aug and she asked for some of my time, so I left her to talk about this thing as I just rep**** “hmm, oh, that’s nice”. You know, letting her do her job...she asked for my time, not my money, right? She asked if we go out to restaurants and movies often and I said NO, just once in a while, not very often at all. NOT ONCE did she ask me if I’m interested in signing up...NOT ONCE did she tell me that she actually DID sign me up...She said she would send me an email with some things to look at if I like and then call back.

I didn’t sign ANY forms or give them my consent to deduct money from my account for a membership I DIDN’T sign up for! But here I am...R160 poorer from a Sanlam Reality membership I didn't even sign-up for.

They are so quick to sign me up for this and take my money without my consent, but they want to take 30 days to review (probably just think about it) and cancel it and maybe refund me???!!! What the heck man?????!!!!!

I am UNHAPPY AF!!!!!!!!!

My Insurance premium is deducting on the 17th and they have taken that R160 membership fee from my insurance money, which is the ONLY money left in my account.

At my workplace if someone needs their money paid NOW then we pay them NOW!!!!

But it seems that they have some freakishly slow and ancient system at Sanlam Reality that they probably have to craft the money first and then check if it's real and send it to every staff member to sign off the money and approve the refund all while sleeping at their posts and taking endless coffee breaks and getting confused and freaked out before eventually considering to send it to a bank via a directionless ***eon and leaving the bank to figure out what to do with the money so they have to do all the work for Sanlam Reality...that's the ONLY explanation I can think of that a cancellation and refund for their mistake can take 30 days.
