Sanlam Pen Accumulation Fund: Possible *****

I have lost about 5% of my pension in a short period of a month( February) and no one seem to know how this came about. Funny thing this happened for the first time only when I requested the funds to be transferred to a different service provider. Before I could make the decision to transfer the funds ( as I was changing employments), I requested for a benefit statement which clearly indicated my benefit balance. This was on the 23rd of January. Sometime in March( assumed based on the date on the ROT) it appeared that the transfer was concluded( this is not necessarily the date of disinvestment, that date is assumed to have been earlier than this). However the amount indicated on the ROT which was ultimately transferred, was 5 % lesser that the benefit balance of the 23rd of January. This would translated in rands to approximately R28 000. I have since made contact with Sanlam Employee Benefit division request clarity on the matter and called both their call centre agent and even escalated the matter to their manager by the name of Rene Moller. It has been over a month that I have requested an explanation on this and it is just not forthcoming. I suspect ********** activities and will be seeking legal advice. It is disheartening for such a big company which deals with billions and billions to be unable to provide a simple answer on why one has lost so much money unless there is no explanation because the money was in fact ******.
