Sanlam making claim next to impossible.

My mother had a retirement annuity at Sanlam. She could no longer afford this in 2016, however there was roughly 20 000 paid into this. She passed away last year. Now Sanlam is making it next to impossible to get the money. The amount of proof they require and extensive paperwork on your beneficiaries are insane. Why should they require my financials. It has absolutely nothing to do with them. My opinion is that they want to make it as difficult as possible for you to claim in the hopes that you will just let it go. To me it is not about the money but about the principle. It is not theirs to take nor for them to investigate her children. If you have a beneficiary the rest is non of their concern. I also sent the email to this effect which has fallen on deaf ears. Just advising people to be careful.
