Sanlam - is the *******ion ???

I received an email from Sanlam on 14/10/2024 looking for my late husband which passed away in 2008. I contacted them to inform them of their passing and i was informed that there was a small policy and that I was the beneficiary. The emailed me a list of paperwork that i had to submit and gave me the value of the policy. So i submitted the the required documents including the death certificate. And waited .. and waited. Only to be informed that the policy reached maturity and was paid out in Sept 2017 !! To whom ??? I requested a copy of the details and I am being ignored now - not a word from them. But how can this be ??? I am the beneficiary, I never before submitted a death certificate. |And why contact me looking for him if it has been paid out. Why sent me a request for paperwork and give me a value. I smell a rat and need advice where to report the matter
