Sanlam is terrible

Sanlam is the most inefficient company that I have ever dealt with. I am the executor of my brother in-laws estate and I have had the most disgusting servers from Sanlam. It has been nearly a year since I start with them to get his policy paid , They first come with one story then we get all that paperwork, then they come with another story then we get that paperwork. Then they come with the story that they did not receive the death certificate (How on earth can you start a death claim without a death certificate) death certificate was sent, then they come with the story that the estates bank letter is older than 3 months, we get that and send it off, then they come with the story that they need forms to be filled in for monies to be paid to foreign people, no moneys are been paid to any bank account out of SA, now they need a letter stating that, they have the estates bank account confirmation letter which is a South African Bank were the monies need to be paid. They have also when we started with this death claim moved from 48 hours on receiving a mail to 10 working days to respond, You call and speak to someone that is handling the calls they say that the 10 days are not up so we just have to wait, but not long after that call you get a mail from the person that is dealing with the claim and you respond straight away and then nothing until you call again they are using Covid as an excuses, I am sorry but all the Life Insurance companies are going through the same and to use covid for an excuse is really pathetic, covid has got nothing to do with customer serves. You can’t even get through to speak to the person who is dealing with your claim. They have all the paper work that is needed. Sanlam is the only thing holding me up from finalizing the tax and closing the estate. My be they should see what Momentum are doing and take a page from their book
