Sanlam is not to be trusted.

Never trust Sanlam for "quick payouts when your family needs it most" as they say. Sanlam is the worst insurance company I've ever come across. My mother lost her husband over a year ago and is left to make ends meet for 5 children. She started the claim process with Sanlam over a year ago yet till this day there has been no transparency and honesty on how far they are with the process. She recently spoke to a Sanlam consultant who told her they have submitted to SARS and await feedback. Over a week later my mom contacted SARS directly only to find nothing has ever been submitted by Sanlam so it was all a lie. She has case numbers that proves this. Has knocked on almost every Sanlam door including the Newcastle branch for assistance with fail. She has been in and out of hospital due also due to financial stress. It's been a tremendously painful experience for her and devastating to watch on my end, would never wish this on anyone.
