Sanlam Indie, Stop Debiting My Account after Written Cancellation. That is *****ing.

I took out a Sanlam Indie policy must be in September because deductions started in October, to date , my bloods have not been done, on the 22nd of January I asked for my policy to be cancelled and all premiums returned to my bank via their website, I then receive an email from Luyanda stating that: "Hi Charmaine and thank you for getting in touch. On behalf of Sanlam Indie, I'd like to extend our apologies for your experience at this time. We've investigated the issue and have received feedback from our service provider iMeds that they've made numerous attempts to call you on: ***, but were unsuccessful. We are able to extend the period required to get the medical tests completed by another month, and if you are willing to do so, we will need an alternative number to send to iMeds. Knowing a relative time frame in which iMeds can contact you will also help.Unfortunately at this stage of the policy we cannot issue a refund of all the premiums you've paid. You've had cover from 30 October 2019 to date, and the premiums collected have been for the cover provided" I rep**** informing Luyanda that them not getting hold of me was lies as I was the one making the phone calls and returning the calls, I even offered him proof of my calls to them, to date he has not responded, today (26/01/2020) they deduct R511.00 from my account after I distinctly told them that I want my policy cancelled and I wanted my premiums returned. This is not fair, I am very very very upset. the reason I took the policy was because I like what they offered, but now I have to pay for their mess up, all I want now is all my premiums returned to my account and why deduct another premium after I request cancellation? Had I died whilst the bloods were not done, they would not have paid out the policy, so why tell me that they cannot refund My money because it was for "COVER PROVIDED" what hogwash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
