SANLAM INDIE, NO TRUTH, NO PAYMENT, PLENTY OF EXCUSES!!!!!!

My husband died 30 July 2023. I claimed against his life insurance #331591 with Sanlam Indie, and all paperwork was submitted for the additional assessment on 23 August 2023. They said their turn around time is 15 working days. To date, creditors harass me weekly while Sanlam Indie continues to ignore emails from our family doctor requesting proof of payment for the invoice sent on 4 September 2023 because they requested additional information from him. Guess what? 15 working days came and went, and the Dr's invoice for a measly 400 and something rand remains unpaid. An entire company with a finance department can't process payment for R400 rand within 10 working days? Sies shame on you!!! I have never seen such despicable behaviour with little regard for grieving families. No scruples!!!! Is this what my children must endure to get payment from MY life insurance with Sanlam Indie? You don't even deserve the one-star, zero for service delivery and efficiency!!! Taking life insurance with Sanlam Indie is possibly the worst decision we ever made as a couple!!!! Watch me move to Discovery Insure, with all my friends and family.

Same script, different cast!! Your response to my query indicates the disregard and contempt with which you manage your client's claims. This reply might as well have been blank. Yes, your claims department contacted me and could not give me a valid and convincing response as to why the invoice issued by our family doctor has still not been paid ten working days after it was sent to the finance department.

Moreso, why is Sanlam lying about "liaising directly" with our doctor when the doctor sent an email to Sanlam Indie on 4 September 2023 that was ignored? The doctor's office has also repeatedly tried to contact Sanlam Indie telephonically. Then I am told the medical assessor is awaiting documents from our family doctor, and there would be no progress on my claim till then.

I am in constant contact with the doctor's office regarding this claim. Please stop the dishonesty. What kind of liaising is this exactly? Your next response better have some form of accountability, business integrity, and a viable solution to my grievance. I have no interest in your feeble apologies and automated responses.
