Sanlam Income Protector Useless...again

Recently had an Income protector claim. After basically 2 months they finally paid about 1 weeks worth vs the 3 that I was not able to work. Unfortunately I had to have another operation now all of a sudden they are asking for completely different forms to be completed. I already had my doctor complete a form. This takes time as he does not always have time to complete forms and does it when he has time. Which delays the process more. Why ask for another form when the first form has the same information on it. I also have to pay the doctor to complete the form. Wasting my time and money because now I have to take time off losing more money to hand in the form and collect it again.

Delay tactic.

Again quick to take your money but will use any tactic to delay payment or not pay.

Sanlam asked for an additional payslip which I provided 17 Apr. Still no answer I phoned last week to ask what is happening and was told I would have an answer Friday....that came and went just like the last time I phoned. Phoned today and was told I will have an answer this week. Hmmm a lot of deja vu going on. Same as last week. Why does processing a claim take so long? For me personally it is just delay, delay and some more delay. Send in documents then come back oh sorry we need other documents but previously used the same. Then get response oh no we need an additional payslip. Don't these people do proper assessment of what is required upfront and send one communication? Or is it delay tactic to always just ask for more information delaying the whole process

Phoned today again 9 May to find out what is going on. Spoke to somebody and they stated they only paying me just over R700 for the time I was unable to work. I do not get any mail or anything stating this but you have to phone 20 times to get an answer. You have to wait 2 months before getting an answer. How the hell do they come to that amount? This is drop in the amount actually owed. Now I have to send again that I do not agree and will have to wait another 2 months before getting any feedback. The policy is a complete waste of money.
