Sanlam icover bad service

I submitted my dads death benefit claim on Thursday 19th - i have still not recieved payment and as such cannot cremate my dad. Today is the 24th. On my policy they state claims paid within 48hours. The Callcentre agent keeps telling me it has been escalated - Can somebody please assist - please!

Good day Greg

Can you please provide the Sanlam policy number so that we can ascertain which business unit in Sanlam administer the product.

We will sure treat it as a matter of urgency.

We have much empathy with you and family.

i have yet to hear from a consultant - a funeral policy that cannot payout within 48hrs is pointless- take my advice - DONT use Sanlam icover - my dad is still awaiting his service, been over a week now. Absolutely disgusting service !!!

Good day Greg

Our consultant has confirmed that you do not have an Icover with Sanlam.  You allegedly informed the consultant you will take up with another service provider.  I will again follow-up with our consultant to make sure all are on the same wavelength.

Good day

The consultant that i spoke to 20 minutes ago on this number (0860) 426-837 not only confirmed i do have ICover policy but apologised profusely that the problem was due to ”computer error” .- this does still not resolve the issue - i had to borrow money from a friend to cremate my father last week due to this so called error. From your response its clear that there is a serious lack of communication between departments at Sanlam. I have posted my policy number twice already - please do some proper investigation and get back to me - all my information is listed with your helpdesk as i had to do a thorough security check when I called. Lets be clear on one thing though - after the trauma i have been through i will definitely be moving my policy elsewhere - you CANNOT provide peace of mind clearly!

Good day Greg

A confusion arise as your initial case was escalated to GAPCover instead of Icover.  Our consultant is attending to it urgently.  We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
