SANLAM GAP Cover that leaves you with the gap. Careful in your choices

So, I submitted claims to Sanlam GAP cover on 3 and 6 October respectively, including an oncology lump sum claim. After around 2-3 weeks and plenty of follow ups I was partly paid out on both. At least the primary surgeon's co-payment on both claims and the hospital co-payment on another. (Note, there were in total 7 factors claimed for) There it ended. I followed up again and again, it was "escalated" and the escalation ended in another dead end. Kutloano, apparently a services manager, did not phone me back as promised, did not do anything to streamline this matter as promised and today he had another battery of apologies, but no results. Speak of service!

I suggest, if you are looking for GAP cover ... look way further than Sanlam GAP cover. Unless you have an endless supply of minutes to hold on a call and patience, more than plenty. If you are lucky you might be paid out ... but is that why you want Medical Aid Gap cover? No, you want a clear and understandable process that pays out in the promised 7 days, not 5 or 6 WEEKS with no cer*****y about the outcome. Sanlam, you are disappointing!
